Imellom studio is a one-person creative studio based in Kamakura, Japan — breathing between Japan and Norway. Through words, spaces, and food, it explores ways of connecting people and cultures while facilitating cross-cultural collaborations. Curated by Imellom offers handpicked vintage objects and unique finds from Japan for independent shops around Scandinavia and beyond.

I’m Sari, your one and only Rental Friend. Not a tour guide. Not a dating service. Just your local friend in Japan. Available in Tokyo and Kanagawa.

Rental Friend is a new little project by Imellom studio. For now, Rental Friend is by referral only — available to friends of friends and their connections. Feel free to rent me for little errands, a helping hand, company for an activity, or simply to spend some time together!

Why rent Sari?

Local, but with an international perspective.
After living in Europe for over eight years, I know what it’s like to experience Japan from both the inside and outside.

Japanese + English.
We can hang out in either — or a mix of both. And some Norwegian, too!

Food, music, art & local culture.
I love finding good food, live music, vintage things, small local places and slightly unusual experiences.

No tourist checklist required.
I’m happy to explore with you, not just show you around. I worked as a coordinator in Norway, handling all kinds of niche and unusual requests. Figuring out how to make things happen is one of my strengths — and something I genuinely enjoy!

Price

3 hours (minimum booking) — ¥6,000
Additional hour — ¥2,000

First 5 friends get 20% off. The fee covers my time. Transportation, tickets, food and drinks are not included.

How it works

Send a request with when, where, what you’d like to do, and who connects us. We’ll make a plan together, and payment is due at least 48 hours before we meet. Your booking is confirmed once payment is received.

A few boundaries

This is a platonic service — no dating or sexual services. No illegal or unsafe activities. For now, meetings are in public places only.

Cancellation

Payment is due at least 48 hours before the meeting. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are fully refundable. After that, payments are non-refundable.
